Harley Churchill Upton was born on the 18th February 1922 at Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia.

He was the Son of Leslie Churchill and Irene Ellen Emma Teeson.

He enlisted on the 22nd October 1922 and was discharged on the 18th July 1946.
