Victor Quinn

Victor Quinn's enlisted at Wyelangta near beech Forest Victoria. His biological father was George BASSE and mother Maria BASSE. Maria BASSE remarried Patrick QUINN.

Victors older brother George BASSE served with the 5th light horse and served at Gallipoli where he was wounded in July and subsequently returned to Australia.

Victor QUINNs records stated he was killed at Fromelles on 15 July 1915. I believe this is incorrect as there is a red cross document from PTE John TROY who served in the same battalion (58th) stating he saw QUINN and a PTE Michael Frederick Maloney dead after the charge on Wed 19 July. Troy knew QUINN as they both came from Wyelangta and were related by marriage (Uncle/nephew).
