'PHILLIPS, George Henry. Private, No. 6335, 13th Field Ambulance. Born at Rockhampton in 1887, and educated at Allenstown State School, Rockhampton. The son of Arthur John and Jane Phillips, of 33, Davis Street, Rockhampton. Enlisted in July, 1915, and went into camp at Brisbane. Sailed for Egypt; attached to the 13th Field Ambulance. News has been received that Private Arthur Claude Phillips (/explore/people/322008), son of Mr. A. J. Phillips, 33 Davis-street, Rockhampton, has been wounded. Three of Mr. Phillips's sons have joined the forces. One, Private Ernest Phillips (/explore/people/127502), was invalided home some months ago, but is now working in the military motor garage in Melbourne.
