Son of Hugh James Wilson and Pauline Emma Wilson, of Burra, South Australia.

Sick Berth Attendant Roderick Richard Wilson, 22. second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Wilson, of Kooringa, was born and educated at Burra. Before joining  the navy, he worked at Mount Gambler. His father is overseer of works of the Burra Town Council.
