Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Reginald John and Kathleen Clara Rudall, of Gawler, South Australia.

Ordinary Seaman Peter Rudall, 19, son of the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. R. J. Rudall), had a remarkably successful athletic and scholastic  career at St. Peter's College. He played in the college tennis six at the unusually early age of 15, and later captained the team. He had taken the  first year of his law course at the University before he entered the navy. He was always keen on sailing and had his own boat at Port Vincent. Mr.  Rudall's other son, Jake, is with the A.I.F in Syria.

Able Seaman Peter Sutherland Rudall, 19, second son of the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. R. J. Rudall) and Mrs. Rudall, of Gawler, was  educated at St. Peter's College, and in his final year was captain of tennis, editor of the school magazine, a school prefect, and prominent in other spheres or school life. "Of out-standing personality, he was one of the finest and most popular boys at St. Peter's," said the headmaster (Rev. Guy  Pentreath) yesterday.
On leaving school, Able Seaman Rudall was awarded a scholarship at St. Mark's College. He attempted to enlist in the AIF early in 1940, but was  under age. He then joined the Navy as an ordinary seaman, passing his first year's examination in law at the University before he was called up. Able Seaman Rudall was one of 20 men specially selected a few weeks ago to train for his commission aboard the Sydney. His brother Jake is in  the AIF and spent several months in Tobruk.
