Son of William Edward Owen and Isabella Owen of Granville, NSW.

Husband of Elizabeth Maud Owen nee Nicholson of Union Street, Wickham, Newcastle, NSW. George and Elizabeth married during 1904c in Wickham, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 28 February 1919 aboard HT Anchises as nursing staff disembarking on 13 April 1919 at Melbourne then travel to Sydney by boat.
