"At first light 4 Nov, L/Cpl F.G. Mahalm, of 14 Platoon, C Coy, when he endeavoured to take food to his Section, was sniped and died of his wounds. Throughout the day fire was exchanged and hand grenades were constantly thrown by both sides."
