Extract from 2/17 Bn's battle summary for 16 Oct 1943:

"Throughout the day four more attacks were made on the defences and at 1515 hrs Bn HQ was heavily bombarded with 81mm mortar fire when Harry Tasker of the MG Pl was killed by shrapnel."
