Recognising Australian Service: The Boer War to the Present Day

During the centenary of the First World War one would be forgiven for thinking that this conflict has eclipsed all others. However the purpose of the RSL Virtual War Memorial is to recognise Australian service and sacrifice from the Boer War at the end of the nineteenth century to the current conflicts in the Middle East. In this article, we have highlighted one of the many South Australian individuals or units involved. Follow the links by clicking a photograph or a conflict and take the time to discover a little more the people and the conflicts in which they served. We encourage you to support our objective of capturing and preserving the stories of all those who served. Please make a contribution to the story of a family member or colleague or to the website more generally.
